GunBound Revolution

GunBound Revolution is a version of GunBound made specifically for North America, hosted by ijji, and developed by Softnyx. When the service first opened, users from the USA and Canada were able to transfer their accounts from GunBound World Champion. This was only possible for a short time, afterward any user who did not complete the transfer had their account info "lost". Players attempting to illegally move their accounts to the ijji servers have had their accounts banned. Instead of GunBound Cash, GunBound Revolution employs the new "G coins" method which gives "G coin users" an advantage over users who do not buy "G coins".

Shortly after its existence, GunBound Revolution has been made open to international players due to public demand. GunBound Revolution runs on Internet Explorer but, initially, Mozilla Firefox could not run the game without ActiveX controls. This caused a series of complaints that lead to a solution using a Firefox Launcher since July 11, 2007.

ijji servers have been criticized by mainly North American GunBound players, who claim that the servers are in dire need of updates.

As of April 28, 2008 Season 2 has been implemented and opened for any registered user to access.

As of June 23, 2009 NHN USA inc. will be closing down GunBound for North America on July 24,2009.

Mobiles
The current mobiles are Nak, Aduka, Trico, Raon Launcher, Kalsiddon, Whale (added in season 2), Wolf (added in season 2), Maya (g-coin only), Phoenix(Power user), Big Foot, Armour, JD, Mage, Lightning, A Sate, Grub, Knight (random), Dragon (random), Boomer, Frank (g-coin only), Mammoth, Turtle, J Frog, and soon to be Tiburon, which is a shark.

Ranking System

Total Ranking
There are a total of 43 ranks, including the Administrator(Hammer) rank and the Special(Trophy) rank. Each rank requires a certain amount of GP to be obtained. When you start off your rank is a Little Chick. The ranks that follow require a fixed (non-variable) amount of GP. During Season 2, ijji changed the ranking system, previously including only 25 ranks, and the top 13 ranks were based on a percentage basis and the requirements for these would frequently change (usually increas) with each day as more people gained GP.

Finally, the Administrator rank is a rank specifically for GMs (Game Masters), and the Special rank is reserved usually for events when people may earn this rank temporarily.

Country/Home Team Ranking
Almost all versions of Gunbound now have Country or Home Team ranking. This is the rank that will usually be displayed first everywhere inside game besides your buddy list. This ranking works exactly the same way as total ranking, the only difference is you are separated from others based on where you are located. People who live in places with less Gunbound players will usually have a higher rank than their Total Rank.

The rank displayed usually includes two letters in the corner. These two letters are an abbreviation of your Country or Home Team.

Level Rewards
As players gain GP and achieve higher ranks, ijji will award them with gifts. The level rewards are as follows:
